Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack Installation - 2024 Honda CR-V- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2024 Honda CR-V, we're gonna be checking out the Thule T2 Pro XTR bike rack. So first impressions of the rack on the back of the CR-V, I think it's a good fit. It looks awesome. Thule makes really nice products, have a timeless design, very user friendly, and a platform-style rack you really can't go wrong with. This particular one is gonna be capable of holding up to two bikes, and the way it's gonna do it is with a tire hook here. more

Kuat NV 2-0 Base 2-Bike Platform Rack Review - 2020 Honda Pilot- Video

If you're looking for a durable and reliable bike rack that has pretty much all the features you'd expect from a premium rack that's where the Kuat NV comes in handy. Now the Base version is the matte black not as premium option as a Kuat NV 2.0 where you still get pretty much the same features but at a slightly more affordable price. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2020 Honda Pilot, and we'll talk about its different features and help you decide if this is gonna be the right bike rack for you. This does have some different features like a great weight capacity of 60 pounds for your electric bikes. It's technically a dual wheel mount rack and it has straps, so whether you have any type of frame or even if you have fenders, this can technically work for them. RockyMounts AfterParty Swing Away 2 Bike Rack Review - 2020 Honda Pilot- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the RockyMounts AfterParty 2 Bikes Swing Away bike rack, and we're gonna take a look at how this fits our 2020 Honda Pilot. This bike rack is especially helpful because it swings away for full hatch access. Plus you also have the fun features of this being a dual wheel mounted bike rack and a good weight capacity for heavy electric bikes. What we're gonna do is we're going to loosen the lever down here. So this lever is pretty much loosened so I'm just gonna rotate this until it's completely out. And then in the back there's that knob. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Swagman XC 2 two-bike platform rack. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda CR-V Now, the Swagman XC 2 is actually really popular with the CR-V owners because it's gonna be the quickest and most affordable way to get into the platform rack space. So if you have a two inch or inch and a quarter hitch receiver on your CR-V, and you want something that has a bit more stability than a hanging rack but isn't that pricey, that's where the XC 2 comes in handy. So it does a decent job at making sure your bike is steady as you drive around. It's not swinging around, but it also has its downsides like its very limited features. So that comes in so be mindful. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 4 bike platform rack. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda CR-V. So right off the bat, you're gonna need a hitch receiver on your CR-V, a two inch hitch receiver if you wanna carry this bike rack. This is gonna be a two plus two rack, so you can quickly remove this extension if you wanna convert it back to a two bike rack or add the extension if you wanted to turn it into a four bike platform rack. It is on the heavier side. I would recommend having a friend help you out with installing it. more

Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack Review - 2023 Honda Passport- Video
Hey, everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 on our 2023 Honda Passport. Our bike rack is going to be a platform style bike rack being able to hold up to two bikes individually. They can be up to 60 pounds each, which means our heavier e-bikes are going to be an option here. Notice also that we are not making any frame contact, which means that our carbon frame bikes as well as the alternative frame bikes are going to be an option for this too. We make two main points of contact, which is going to be on our back tire, which is just a rubber strap and a hook here on our front. more

Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Bike Rack Review - 2023 Honda Passport- Video
Hey everybody, Cooper here at Etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 on our 2023 Honda Passport. What we have here is going to be a platform style bike rack able to accommodate up to four bikes. Each individually rate rated at 35 pounds each. Which means unfortunately that our heavier e-bikes are not going to be an option when using this rack. That being said, we do make three points of contact on our bike, two being the front and back tire. more

Thule Epos 3 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Honda CR-V- Video
Hi, Matt here with etrailer. And today, we're gonna be talking about the Thule Epos 3-Bike Rack on the back of the 2022 Honda CR-V. This is gonna be a versatile platform bike rack. As you can see here, it's capable of carrying carbon frame bikes. On the back tire, it has a strap instead of being on the frame itself, but this center mast is also capable of sliding over to the frame and being attached anywhere, so it's great for mountain bikes as well. It can also carry about 66 pounds per bike, so that's gonna be great for any of your e-bikes, for anything super heavy. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Kuat Transfer V2 three-bike platform rack, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda CR-V. So the Transfer is unique because you can carry around multiple bikes, but it still has this open space in the middle to make it easier to load those bikes up. And if you have it folded up against the CR-V, you still have a lot of visibility in the back. So focusing on this bike rack with this car, first, we're going to tilt it away. So if you needed to open up your hatch and grab whatever you needed, what I do is I put the arms up to the side that way it can step into that goal post design, and then it's easier to hit that lever to bring the rack down. Unfortunately though, because the Transfer doesn't tilt down that much, if you did want to open up the hatch fully on the CR-V, we are not able to do so. more

Hey, everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima FullTilt on our 2021 Honda CR-V. Now, as far as hanging-style bike racks are concerned, the FullTilt is actually one of my personal favorite options, and that's because of all the features they're able to pack inside of it that we're gonna be able to take a look at as the video goes on. But, the first thing we wanna make sure we know is what kind of bikes can we carry. Well, the FullTilt's main point of contact is going to be on our frame, so that means, unfortunately, our carbon frame bikes are not going to be an option for this. If you do have an alternative frame bike, though, and do get a bike adapter bar, we are able to accommodate for those, as well as kids' bikes. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima FullTilt hanging style bike rack and seeing how it fits on this 2023 Honda CR-V. With this being a hanging style rack, it's gonna hold the bike by the frame with the rest of the bike kind of hanging down below it. That's where it gets its name. This one holds it in place with two zip strips up top. That's gonna be the straps that ratchet in and hold it down into the cradles with the third one on the seat post limiting our side to side movement. more

RockyMounts GuideRail Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2023 Honda CR-V- Video
Cooper here at etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at our RockyMounts GuideRail on our 2023 Honda CR-V. Our bike rack is going to be a two-platform style bike rack, individually rated for 60 pounds each, meaning that our e-bikes are going to fit on it. As well as you can tell, there is no frame contact, which means that our carbon frame bikes, as well as our alternative frame bikes, are going to fit very well onto this rack. One of the really cool features about the GuideRail is it actually has a tilt-away feature. So holding onto our blue lever here, just holding onto our bike for a little extra security, we are able to tilt this away, allowing us access into our trunk. So that way we have our bike shoes back here, our helmets, maybe a water bottle or something. more

Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule T2 Pro XTR and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Honda Odyssey. This is gonna be a platform-style bike rack capable of carrying up to two bikes, it's gonna hold the bikes by the front tire using this wheel hook. You can see that the wheel hook is on either side and alternating directions, and because it holds the bike by the tire and not the frame, it's gonna be a great option for carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes. With a 60 pound weight capacity, excuse me, per bike, it's gonna be able to handle some e-bikes too. And not to mention, out of the box, this is ready to work with fat tire bikes and kids' bikes as well, so really, a wide range, really anything you could imagine. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima On-Ramp, hitch-bounded bike rack, and seeing how it fits in the back of our 2023 Honda CR-V. The On-Ramp is a platform style bike rack and this one holds the bike in trays. You can slide the bikes back and forth anywhere along these trays so long as the wheel straps reach the wheels and our frame clamp here can wrap around the frame. It's gonna be really more of a cradle with a strap around it than a clamp. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here at the etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro Hanging-Style Bike Rack, and seeing how it fits on our 2023 Honda CR-V. With this being a Hanging-Style Bike Rack, that does present some limitations. This isn't gonna be the best fit for carbon frame bikes because hanging by the frame here isn't good for those more fragile frames. This one holds it in these cradles with two straps over the top, and one around the side to limit our side-to-side movement, acting as an anti-sway cradle. more

Hi, everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Skaha 2-Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on our 2023 Honda CR-V. The Skaha is a platform-style bike rack, holding up to two bikes in these wheel cradles and holding them primarily by our front tire using the wheel hook. Because it uses the wheel hook, we don't have any sort of frame contact here, making this a good option for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and with a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, it can handle some e-bikes too. At the bottom of the bike rack towards the front end here, there's gonna be a green lever. This is what we can use to tilt the rack down, releasing the mechanism there, and lowering the rack down. more

This platform-style rack holds the bike in two sets of wheel cradles that are adjustable on these arms, front to back, allowing us to fit a variety of different wheel bases. Now the Monorail is going to be a platform style bike rack. Platform means that it's going to sit on top of this tray in these wheel cradles and this one is going to be a really great value option in my opinion. It can hold up to 60 pounds per bike, two bikes each and it's going to have no frame contact holding the bike by the front tire here using this wheel hook and the back tire with a wheel strap. No frame contact makes this a great option for carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes making this a very versatile rack in terms of what bikes it can work with. more

Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination E bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Honda CR-V. The Destination E is a platform style bike rack, holding the bike in these trays and primarily by our frame using this frame clamp. This is gonna rotate 360 degrees, move around the mast on the back here, and allow us to meet the bike where it is, that makes it a great option for alternative frame bikes. And with this being an e-bike rack, it can support up to 70 pounds per bike, so some of our bigger e-bikes can fit on here. The one thing I would steer away from is carbon frame bikes, because frame contact already isn't good for the carbon frame, and especially a clamp like this where we're putting a lot of pressure around that frame. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda Odyssey- Video
Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Swagman Skaha 2 bike rack, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda Odyssey. So the Swagman Skaha is a good rack if you have those heavy electric bikes, and with the Odyssey, I recommend getting the separate ramp and bridge attachment. There is a good amount of ground clearance with this vehicle, so it's hard to lift those bikes high up and into the hitch receiver or hitch-mounted bike rack, but the ramp and bridge actually works really well with this rack, and I would recommend checking that out if you have a heavy electric bike, but this also has some other features, like it tilts away and you have a front wheel mount, which makes it easier to load those bikes up. So the first feature we'll take a look at is that tilt away feature. There is this bright green lever here in the back. more

So, the Kuat Sherpa is a great middle of the road bike rack. I highly recommend it for people that just have a normal bike, and they wanna carry it around quickly and easily. It does have some downsides, like, it doesn't have a super great weight capacity for extra heavy electric bikes, but it does have some fun features, like this tilt away. So, if you pull this lever down here, (rack clicks) and you just let the bike rack drop down to a tilt, you will be able to open up your hatch. more

Here with the CR-V, it does work pretty well with the vehicle, although there are some things I would consider, because it is a bit of a hassle to get your bikes on there. So the RockyMounts AfterParty is very similar to the RockyMounts GuideRail where you have a dual wheel mount bike rack. The thing that's special, though, with the AfterParty is it swings away, and that gives you full access to the back of your vehicle if you want to set up a campsite, open up the hatch, things like that. Now, with the CR-V, I personally would actually recommend just sticking with the RockyMounts GuideRail, and that's just because you can still tilt away both bike racks. So if you don't need that full hatch clearance, you'll still be able to open up your hatch with the bikes rack, bikes on without having to swing the entire bike rack away. more

It is an affordable rack, so if you want the stability of a platform rack but at the price of what you would usually see for a hanging rack, this is what I would go with. There's some aspects of it that I really like but there's some downsides as well like how it has a limited weight capacity to 35 pounds per bike and this bike rack does not tilt away. So if you need to access your hatch, you are gonna have to take the bike off. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Honda CR-V- Video
How's it going, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Current hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2021 Honda CR-V. The Current is designed specifically for e-bikes, so it is a platform-style rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 60 pounds apiece. It's gonna hold onto our bike primarily with the center mast frame clamp here or hook and two additional straps, one on the front, one on the back tire. So it does make contact with your frame, and it does so in a pulling-down fashion. So if you wanna use this with your carbon frame bikes, recommend against that cuz it could potentially damage your frame while it's driving. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Honda CR-V- Video
How's it going, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Right now we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2021 Honda CR-V. This is going to be a two-bike platform style rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 60 pounds. It's gonna hold on to our bikes with this dual wheel mount design, so one hoop on the back, one hoop on the front tire, which is nice if you want to accommodate different wheel bases and make sure that your bikes aren't making contact with one another while you're driving. Also, because there's no frame contact, you can get your carbon frame bikes on here, alternative frame bikes, and you can get some e-bikes on here as long as they have less than a three-inch or less tire width. So this does have a lot of cool features and things that we're gonna check out, but the first one is going to be the fact that we do have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded up. more

So because it does make that frame contact, we don't recommend using this rack with carbon frame bikes 'cause it could potentially damage them while your driving. Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2016 Honda Pilot- Video
How's it going, everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro Four Bike Rack on the back of our 2016 Honda Pilot. This is a hanging-style bike rack. It is going to be holding the bike primarily by the top of the frame and by this anti-sway clip in the back here. So if you do have carbon frame bikes, or alternative frame bikes, you might want, or you definitely don't wanna use carbon frame bikes, but if you have an alternative frame bike, you may need a bike adapter bar. This bike rack is capable of supporting 35 pounds per bike or 140 pounds total. more

CURT Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Honda Odyssey- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at how the Curt Premium hanging rack fits on the 2023 Honda Odyssey. So the Curt Premium is one of my favorite racks when it comes to how many bikes it can carry without being so difficult. With hanging racks it's really tough to get different frames up on there, but this has a unique design where it's more narrow towards the front, making it easier for those mountain bikes or those smaller bikes. Now you are gonna have to have a hitch on your Odyssey to use this. So make sure to get the two inch version. Now here we have one, two, and three touch points. more
